Fran DiFiore

EDUCATION SPECIALIST

For nearly 40 years, Fran has played a prominent role in Connecticut public education. Her hands-on experience gives her a unique perspective that will be an asset to K-12 clients and projects. Though she began her career as an elementary school teacher, she quickly realized her passion for leadership and started to take on administrative roles, beginning as Assistant Principal at Bulkeley High School in Hartford. She later went on as an assistant principal at Weaver High School. In 1999, Fran took on the role of principal at West Middle Elementary. Five years later she was asked to work with the State Department of Education as a Principal-in-Residence, providing leadership to various schools throughout Connecticut. This led her to an Acting Assistant Superintendent position in the City of Hartford, where she remained for a year before beginning at CREC as Assistant Superintendent of Magnet Schools. Here, Fran played an integral part in the opening of four new schools including the development of educational specifications. Fran has spent the last eleven years as the principal of Cromwell High School. She has enjoyed the many leadership roles she’s had in her career, and her experience in education will make her an integral part of CSG’s team.
