For Eileen Eagle, one of the most rewarding aspects of her work comes through seeing the construction process from beginning to end.

“I love it,” says Eileen. “Starting with nothing - a blank slate, an old building, an empty field, and then seeing the finished project. That step by step progression over several years and finally getting there. I find that truly inspiring.”

Eileen has more than 20 years of project management experience, managing new construction and renovation projects for clients in both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining CSG, Eileen served as an Associate Project Manager for Arcadis providing owners representative services for multi-million dollar public school projects. Over her years in the construction industry, Eileen has found working in schools to be immensely gratifying.

“You’re doing it for the kids,” Eileen says. “You’re seeing them every day when you’re on site and they always ask a lot of questions. They have a lot of enthusiasm. They ask ‘what do you do?’ and ‘why are you doing it?’ and it’s cool to introduce them to construction when they are that age."

Eileen came to CSG  looking for an opportunity to grow.

“I learned a lot,” Eileen recalls. “Working alongside other project managers and noticing how they handle certain situations, how they speak with people. I thought I was ready to take the next step and take on that role.”

Anna Reynolds Elementary School, Newington, CT

When she joined the company in April 2022, Eileen immediately stepped into an integral role as Project Manager overseeing the construction of Anna Reynolds Elementary School in Newington, Connecticut. This phased-occupied, renovate-as-new project, currently scheduled for completion in August 2024, includes extensive mechanical, energy efficiency and ADA updates to the existing 65,000 SF facility.

She says there are many rewarding aspects of her work, including working with clients and getting to know them. She says that she’s been fortunate to form such great relationships with people she’s worked with at projects throughout the state. But it’s seeing a project through from beginning to end that makes her love her work.

“You’re looking at plans for so long. You can sort of envision it. You look at the 3D renderings. But when you’re actually standing in it and you see all the materials and colors come together, the beautiful skylights, the architectural design right there in front of you, that’s very inspiring.”
