CSG is pleased to announce Fran DiFiore as Education Specialist. With nearly 40 years of experience, Fran is a crucial and strategic addition to the team. Throughout her career, Fran has held both teaching and administrative positions, driven by her passion for leadership. Her first position as Assistant Principal was with Bulkeley High School, and she later went on to take the same role at Weaver High School. In 1999, she entered her first job as Principal of West Middle Elementary, where she remained for five years. She then began work with the State Department of Education as a Principal-in-Residence at various schools throughout Connecticut. This led her to future Acting Assistant Superintendent positions in the City of Hartford and following those, a position with CREC as Assistant Superintendent of Magnet Schools as well. Here, Fran played a major role in the openings of four new schools and specifically in the development of educational specifications, the hiring of staff and the recruitment of students. For the last eleven years, Fran was Principal of Cromwell High School.
"Fran will be imperative to CSG’s work, specifically in coordinating with administrators, staff and local officials as well as architects during the development of educational specifications," explains Jim Giuliano, President of CSG. "Her prior experience with Connecticut’s education system gives her a fresh perspective that will be useful in all K-12 projects. She will also play an important role throughout the conceptual design phase to incorporate the desired pedagogy according to OSCG&R standards."
Fran received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from the University of Connecticut, and soon after received an M.A. in Special Education at Saint Joseph University. She continued her education at the University of Connecticut receiving her 6th year degree in Educational Leadership. In 2001, she completed the Executive Leadership Program with a Certification for Superintendency.
