Progress update: Southend Boys & Girls Club

We are excited to report that the construction of the new Southend Boys and Girls Club in Hartford continues to progress on time and on budget, despite a snowy winter. A combination of a mild fall and diligence of the construction team at Bartlett Brainard Eacott enabled the building to be enclosed by winter and for work to continue unimpeded. The new facility, designed by JCJ Architecture, will feature teen space, a technology center, games room, and performing arts/crafts room, a full size basketball court, and a television/recording studio.
Pictured above: This 32,000 SF facility will provide a much needed safe and nurturing environment for 1,500 youth, as there is currently no after-school facility for children in this part of the city. The anticipated opening of the club is summer of 2021.
