David Crowell joins CSG as Project Manager

December 10th, 2019

Construction Solutions Group (CSG), a growing owner’s representation and program management firm, is pleased to announce the hire of project manager David Crowell, a seasoned healthcare facilities professional with over 25 years of construction management and project implementation experience. His background includes working in hospitals, senior living, and skilled nursing operations as well in the healthcare-related production environment.

Since joining the firm in November 2019, Crowell has been overseeing an active remediation and renovation project for United Methodist Homes at the Middlewoods of Newington campus. He will be getting involved with other senior living and institutional projects slated to begin early next year.

Prior to joining the firm, Crowell served as corporate director of support services for Masonicare, where he worked closely with CSG project executive Mark Garilli. In this role, he worked on various home health care and medical office renovation projects, as well as the $4 million construction of the Masonicare at Chester Village facility in Chester, Connecticut.

Prior to Masonicare, he held positions of director of environmental services for Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center and chief operations officer for Total Laundry Collaborative, a partnership among multiple hospitals created to manage and provide linen services. During his tenure at Saint Francis, he managed a $4.5 million laundry relocation project, where he was responsible for coordinating design, site identification, lease negotiation and equipment installation, and was integrally involved in the construction of a 318,000 square-foot addition of the J.T. O’Connell tower, which expanded major acute-care services and provided an additional four levels of inpatient beds.

“Dave was hired to support our strategic pursuit of work in the senior living and healthcare markets,” describes CSG president Jim Giuliano. “He brings a sense of relatability and know-how gained from his direct experience working on owner’s side of the table.”

Crowell is a Certified Plant Maintenance Manager. He holds a Master of Science degree in healthcare management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Arts degree in environmental studies from Johnson State College in Vermont. He resides in Windsor.
