Michael Faenza Joins CSG as Assistant Project Manager

November 30th, 2018

Construction Solutions Group (CSG), a growing owner’s representation and program management firm, is pleased to announce the hire of assistant project manager Michael Faenza. He has a ten year background in construction, and brings experience on secondary education, higher education and municipal construction projects throughout Connecticut.

Since joining the firm in November 2018, Faenza has been actively supporting CSG’s multi-year contract to provide full-time, on-site program management services for the City of Norwalk. Work consists of over $170 million in new construction, facility additions/renovations and programmatic upgrades at schools throughout the district.

Prior to joining CSG, Faenza worked for a variety of local commercial construction firms throughout the course of his career, holding positions including laborer, project engineer and project manager. He has completed work for clients including Yale University, the University of Connecticut, and University of New Haven.

In 2014, he was hired as assistant project manager for the Capitol Region Education Council’s (CREC’s) in-house construction division, where he was responsible for overseeing the construction of new magnet schools throughout the greater Hartford region as well as public safety facilities for municipal clients. Notable projects include the construction of the Town of North Stonington’s $6 million Center for Emergency Services and the Town of Ledyard’s $9 million police station, which helped the community transition from resident state trooper model to an independently-staffed municipal department.

“Mike’s background matches up perfectly with the type of work we do at CSG,” describes CSG president Jim Giuliano. “He plays an integral role in overseeing all of the Norwalk school construction program work, and has proven to be a great addition to our growing team.”

Faenza graduated from Central Connecticut State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management, and maintains the OSHA Outreach 30-Hour Training Program certification. He is a resident of Old Lyme.
