CSG Staff Earn MCPPO Certifications

July 12th, 2017

Construction Solutions Group, LLC (“CSG”) has announced that vice president Christopher Cykley and project manager Jason LaFleur have earned their Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official Program (“MCPPO”) certifications. Cykley and LaFleur bring the company-wide total to three MCPPO certified team members, further fortifying CSG’s submissions for owner’s representation and program management projects throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

“Our central location in West Hartford allows us to easily and conveniently serve clients in the greater Springfield area and surrounding counties in Western Massachusetts. We are doing some private work in State and decided that to solidify our commitment to doing more with clients throughout the Commonwealth. Our public-sector experience here in Connecticut is actually very transferrable across state lines,” notes Jim Giuliano, president and founder. Giuliano was the first CSG team member to receive his MCPPO certification in October 2016.

The Office of the Inspector General administers the Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official Program (MCPPO) to promote cost-effective, ethical, and modern purchasing practices, dialogue and exchange of ideas and best practices among procurement officials, stewardship of resources in the public's interest, and compliance with Massachusetts contracting laws.

The MCPPO designation is widely recognized by local jurisdictions in Massachusetts as indication of familiarity with State procurement practices. MCPPO certification requires successful completion of the prerequisite seminars, Public Contracting Overview or the Charter School Procurement seminar for charter school employees.
