CSG Selected for $1.3M Program Management Contract in Norwalk

CSG has been awarded a $1.3 million contract to provide program management services for the Norwalk Board of Education’s five-year school facilities master plan, which includes over $170 million in new construction and facility renovations. Priority projects include the $42 million construction of South Norwalk School, the $43 million addition/renovation of Ponus Middle School, and various programmatic upgrades at schools throughout the district.
Beginning in June, CSG will provide full-time, on-site support to the buildings and facilities manager. The initial focus will be preparing the educational specifications and documents associated with the submission of a grant application to the State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services’ Office of School Construction Grants to obtain project funding.
Subsequent tasks will include the development of requests for proposals for architectural and construction management firms. As program manager, CSG will be responsible for providing comprehensive oversight from the preliminary design phase through close out, to ensure that the projects are managed judiciously and the projects maintain complete reimbursement eligibility.
